Actress Han Hyo-joo is back with a new film “Love, Lies” which will be released on April 13.
Set in 1943, it tells the story of “gisaeng,” which refers to a female entertainer with highly accomplished singing and dancing skills during the Goryeo Dynasty and Joseon era.
Two actresses, Han and Chun Woo-hee, play gisaeng named So-yool and Yeon-hee in the film.
Since her debut, Han has only taken on good character roles in TV drama series and films. In this film, she is expected to exude a pure yet provocative charm instead.
Park Heung-sik, who produced this film, has previously directed many other films including “My Mother, The Mermaid” (2004), “Bravo, My Life” (2005) and “Memories of the Sword” (2015).
