The annual Wonju Dynamic Dancing Carnival is back, taking place from September 3 to 8 at Wonju Tattoo Stadium and within the areas of Jungang-ro Culture Street. Wonju Dynamic Dancing Carnival is an exciting dance festival that hosts grand dance parades, exquisite dance performances, and an international dance competition.
Main programs include Dancing Carnival, a staged performance showcasing a variety of dance genres from contemporary to martial arts dance; Military Spirit, a musical performance by Korean soldiers in service; and Art of Korea, an elegant and exciting traditional Korean performance.
Another highlight of the festival is the Wonju Dynamic Fringe Festival that takes place throughout the whole event period. Wonju Dynamic Fringe Festival is packed with entertainment of diverse genres, such as a mime show, theatrical play, musical, and street performances. In addition, Free Dancing Festa will also keep visitors entertained with enjoyable performances by small groups.
Besides performances, visitors can also look forward to food trucks, food zones, hands-on activities, and handicrafts market.
