Great snack for weekends – “Half and Half Ttokbokki”Hi, guys. I will introduce a snack that is good for both children and adults: “Half and Half Ttokbokki”.
The recipe is really simple! You just need to cook by putting 250cc(500ml) of water and all the ingredients together.
In the package, there are rice cakes + sauce + flakes.
(Same ingredients for both flavours, except the sauces)
Prepare 250cc of water. For those of you who don’t have a measuring cup, prepare 4 cups of water based on the soju cup.
The flakes seemed to be not enough, but that’s okay since it is just for convenient cooking. If you want to add some more ingredients, you can definitely add onions, green onions, fish balls, or whatever you feel like to add to it.
On the instruction, it says to cook for 5 minutes, but I cooked it for 2 minutes longer to boil down the water a bit.
For this time, I will make spicy ttokbokki. I thought 250cc of water was too much when I was cooking for the soy sauce one, so i would just start with 200cc of water for this one.
You would better stir it while boiling in order to avoid the rice cakes from sticking together.
So easy, huh?
Yay, it took me only 15-20 minutes to cook two different kinds of ttokbokki! They look really yummy!
I like the soup of ttokbokki so much. Can’t stop eating it.
The rice cakes are also so soft and delicious. The soy sauce-based ttokbokki tastes sweet and nutty. The spicy ttokbokki tastes like just the ones we already know.
I made these for a meal on the weekend and I was so full and satisfied.
They are not only good as one meal, but also great as snacks with drinks.
